Hello,

We are getting stung with high postage and courier fees, our products are sent ad-hoc and we are paying 'retail' prices. We are hoping to find a courier who is both cheap and good!

The products we are shipping range in size from a credit card size item to a suitcase size. and price wise are .99p - £2/3,000

We have one site and would like a daily (maybe every two days?) afternoon collection along with a well priced and insured service.

I would appreciate peoples recommendations for a courier that can offer this service?

Many thanks

Been using couriers for over 25yrs, have been using Interlink for over 15yrs now simply because their service is excellent. They are not the cheapest but their system is great & we very rarely have any issues.

They are part of DPD & I believe they are being integrated into DPD over the next few years, DPD (down here anyway) need you to spend £12k pa to take you on as an account customer.

Wouldn't something along the lines of Interparcel or Parcel2Go be suited for you? Your low volumes means you'll likely not get a consistent rate on account.

I know people who use Interparcel on a daily basis as their rates suit the irregular volumes they have. They pay pretty much the same as an account customer would yes ship a lot less.

I would normally say DPD but they didn't turn up today to collect the parcels I'd requested them to.

That's me coming into lots of emails and phone calls tomorrow from irate customers not getting the orders they were expecting.

For what you ship there must be a mix.

Royal mail is still the best for tiny packets IMO.

As above Interlink are awesome. APC is good and pretty cheap.

If you are only sending every other day, maybe a broker? Inter parcel?

Check out how much to send a £2k parcel (as per OP) insured with a broker.

That won't be much different to paying on account except with the broker you'll get the cheaper rate for the lower valued packages

If you're doing more than 20 a week you should be able to get OBA from Royal Mail and save a fair bit. Have you contacted them about a business account?
