need help with AN fittings and SAE J30 r9 fuel hose
Discussion
Im about to replace my fuel lines and want to use AN fittings where possible.
Its on a TVR Chimaera which has hard copper and rubber hose running from the tank to the engine bay.
i need to use a good quality 8mm id injection fuel hose which i found here
http://www.flexiducting.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2...
but the od is larger than the specified 1/2" for -8 AN
and too small for -10 AN
and i can get 8mm od knifer pipe no problem.
which AN fitting should i use on the rubber hose?

If you use AN fittings, you need to use hose intended for the type of fitting you wish to use of which there are a few.Its on a TVR Chimaera which has hard copper and rubber hose running from the tank to the engine bay.

Agreed, that hose is not suitable for use with AN fittings.

ETA should also have asked how you propose to transition from 8mm copper pipe to AN?
It can be done but by the time you have used a compression or solder fitting on the copper then an adapter for that thread to the AN fitting it will all become a bit of a faff.
Again at the fuel rail you will again have to come up with some array of adapters.
