Hi,
Has anyone got a Lister Jaguar XJS alloy wheel or wheels, the early one made by Compomotive with the Lister lettering on the front face of the wheel. Any condition considered. Just a single wheel, up to a full set.
Cheers

Can you advise of the condition of your engine, how many miles it has covered, any known problems and what price you are wanting for the engine?

I may have a lead on a set of Lister wheel centres. Can anyone tell me the depth of the outer rim lips, from the edge of the rim to the face that has the 30 rim bolts?

While looking for info, I found a company on the net that had had quite a few listers through their doors. I'm trying to find the website. We had a set of 16inch wheels for sale a while ago, but they only wanted to buy 17inch.

Was that Simply Performance? I do have a set of centres lined up now and hopefully should be picking them up in a couple of weeks. I guess your 16" ones have gone now?

Yes !!! I searched and searched. They seem to have had a few listers.

Another other is to have some wheels made... Image Wheels can do that. Not sure on prices.

Good luck with your search.

Hi I am in the final stages of restoration of my Lister XJS and I am also looking for some Lister wheels. Please can I ask you where you got yours from and do they have anymore? Thanks

Hi,
Talk,to Jon or Ben at Simply Performance on +44 (0) 1306 711134 and they will sort you out I'm sure.
I think I am right in saying they can only supply the centres as you see them, made by the original manufacturer Compomotive. You may have to calculate the correct rim sizes to suit your car and decide whether you go 17" or 18" diameter. I have contacted a company called Image wheels who can supply the polished rims in a number of widths (1/2" increments).
Do you know the sizes and offsets to suit your particular car? Which version of the Lister Jaguar are you restoring?
Cheers
Andy Cloud.

Thanks I am already dealing with Ben & Jon at Simply Performance as they have supplied the manual conversion kit for the 5 speed Getrag gearbox we are fitting. My car is a 1982 5.3 V12 that has a low 34k mileage and a lot of paperwork supporting it. The car had some Lister factory modifications made in 1986 and I inherited the original 8 page price list with the car documents too. As with all of Listers modifications at that time they backfilled the body kit with moisture absorbent expanding foam which has eaten the bodywork away. After purchasing and expecting a light restoration, the stark reality (see gallery link!) was that I have ended up doing a full bare metal restoration. I also decided to retro fit some more of the Lister stage modifications from the price list too. The car has been stripped to a bare shell and then shot blasted and the shell is away at the moment being prepared for new paint. The body shell has had 50% new metal cut out fabricated and welded back in and the sub assemblies went today for shot blasting before painting. The manual gearbox conversion is about to be undertaken. I have just today purchased a replacement diff for the standard 2.88:1 and I am replacing this with the Lister recommended upgrade to a 3.54:1 Power Lock diff instead increasing the acceleration with the manual box combination it is reckoned to be 30% increase in power over standard auto and diff. The lowered springs and adjustable shocks have seen better days so they are being replaced with new. New vented and drilled disks, pads & braided cables are arriving on friday too. In the background I have Roger Bywater of AJ6 Engineering in Bollington (next town to mine in Macclesfield) one of the original performance consultants for Lister in 1986 helping with the car. He is working on and building a large bore performance stainless exhaust, supplying his own designed, large bore kit and induction and a modified ECU to allow for the manual conversion and his performance enhancements. This is all part of my plan to have the car finished for my 50th in July this year. It's been an 8 month project so far and I have been writing a monthly article for XJS Owners Club www.xjsclub.org so fingers crossed its done in time. I have a gallery link to a couple of 100 pictures of the work that has been involved so far here https://goo.gl/photos/rXGnBu56Vg3iQyGX9

I noticed the Lister centre badge does not come with them and I have found these on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LISTER-CAMBRIDGE-CAR-BON...

Ah, good find.
I've just done a search and came across badgecraft.co.uk They list the Lister badge, so I have asked them for details.

Let me know if you get a reply and price from them as I think I am going to get the wheels too and I need a couple for front and rear of the car as well.
