Looking for a little advice/ideas about a little potential conundrum:

Recently DIY Rebuilt an engine which took a number of months however the car's MOT expired 3 months ago. The engine will need to be Run in & Remapped preferably before the MOT as previously the car has always had issues passing the emissions testing with the 200 cell cat fitted, this has now been swapped out for removable 400 cell cat section however it would still be preferable to properly run in the engine before the nuts are revved off it for the emissions test.

Ideas on a postcard

I don't think they'll rev the nuts off it for the emissions test- isn't it just fast idle ~2,000RPM?

between 2500 and 3000 (unless it fails the first fast idle then a range is given based on the engine).

Exactly, a complete non-issue.

You allowed to drive to and from a pre booked MOT as long as you go straight to and from the MOT station. You don't need tax or a current MOT but it still must be insured and roadworthy
