IVECO cargo rector 2002

Hi all!, I have an IVECO cargo 2002 tector, its a 4 cylinder pacca engine, and its smokes on start up and wen driving and has got worse over the 3 weeks I've had it, I'm thinking of putting the older 6 pot engine in as a replacement as I personally think they are stronger engine overall, just wondered if there would have to be any wireing loom changes between the 2, has anybody done it? Have you checked the breather filters on the back of the block , if they get choked up oil can be pushed past the turbo seals !!!
I would think you could swap it but you would also need to fit a limiter , I have a complte 75e15 on a T REG the engine and box are good but the cab is desolving so I'm swaping the body from it onto a later daf
so if you need anything give me a shout I was going to list it on ebay ...
