Brought a 435d x drive a few months ago from a dealer 200 miles away. Two months into ownership and one of the wheels is showing some 'milking' near the lip.

As soon as I brought it I used AG Custom Wheels cleaner and applied two coats of GTechnique wheel armour over the weekend.

I don't know what has caused this but want to attempt a home repair.

Is there a recommended procedure? Any products I would need?

I have various metal polishes, compounds and, a dremel.

I was not sure on the lacquer. I read a few threads on here before posting this stating that an expensive lacquer is required - some refurbishment places skimp and don't use it as it is not cost effective.

Any guidance appreciated.

What age / reg is the car? given you bought it recently, was it from a non-franchise stealer?

I take it the issue is the distance to go back to the seller to get the wheels fixed?

Have you spoken to them and suggested sending electronic pics so they can assess and advise - they could authorise / agree to pay for / re-imburse a local repair or may have a contract with a mobile minor fix operation / a local site in their group etc ...

If not under warranty, have you considered contacting the local main franchise dealer ?

It is a 2016 model. I did think about sending photos but I guess I will never know unless I do. It was brought approved used from a Bmw dealer. Quite frankly the refurbished repair on the inside looked average from the get go. Wheels are painted on inside and diamond cut on face.

Didn't think about local franchise so will ask.

If Approved Used then call the supplying dealer and explain the situation, if not satisfied, call BMW Customer Services and quote name of person you've spoken to along with the issue and what you'd like done ... they'll contact the supplying dealer on your behalf and normally someone from the dealership gets back with a "goodwill" offer :}}} else, BMW call to explain why they ain't budging
