Radiator fitter in Reading area

I have bought a replacement radiator for my MR2 and need a local garage that can fit it.

Anyone know a good one in the Reading area?

Some say "we are unable to fit customer supplied parts."

You will find MANY garages will not fit customer supplied parts.

Reason.

If it fails was it incorrect fitting or faulty parts, who is to foot the bill.

Hopefully the OP doesn’t suffer because of the people who blame everyone else for their own mistakes/assumptions.

It's a very common policy. You may struggle to find anybody reputable who will fit customer supplied parts.

If it's the wrong part or not of sufficient quality, who's going to pay for the ramp time while you sort it out?

If there is a problem subsequently, what's the risk to them that you're going to blame them for the problem?

It's all hassle and risk.

If you're determined to go ahead, your best bet would be to find a back street garage who will throw it on for you.

ETA It's almost always better to have the garage supply and fit the parts so everyone knows where they stand.

The garage that identified the leak said they could not get a new one from their suppliers.

So I found one on eBay, brand new and now they say they won't fit it.

Feel a bit stuck in the middle. Garages say they can't find the parts and then when I find the parts they say they won't fit them.

Which side of Reading are you? I have a helpful local guy for doing the jobs I can't, but he's near M4 junction 13 (Newbury).
