My bmw 520d never had a problem then I had and oil leak which flooded my turbo I took the car to the garage and payed 1700 for new turbo fitted and serviced the car at the same time I did 5 mile in the car and the drivetrain smashed my engine to bits and the garage are saying there not at fault I think they are I never had no engine problems at all before going in there

With such a vague and non technical description...I can imagine this thread not going far.

But "smashed to bits", no matter what the cause or sequence of events, is clearly not good or normal.

But without a little more useful info....not a lot more to offer other than yes it does all seem a little suspicious.

As above, no real detail there but here is what it sounds like may have happened to me:

You had an issue which caused oil to wreck the turbo.

You got a garage to change the turbo without fixing what caused the problem as that is not what you told them to do.

The problem happened again only worse.

It is not their problem.

I could be wrong and will concede if you give us some more information.
