This car would never have made it to this point without my wife Bev, who has put up with me spending the hours & hours in the garage taking forever to do what seems like nothing. Thank you Bev & thank you for not minding me spending the pennies to do the job right.
Thanks again and thanks to our dogs dougle & diesel who despite trying to help my with many of the jobs only seem to manage to hide the tools in the garden..
Thanks again to my family for putting up with me during this project!
cheers

Just checked back in, and my heart rate went up! That's one helluva good looking car mate. Love the engineering too. I want one badly! But I have too many projects already. Good show, and thanks for posting. Respect!

Good show, and thanks for posting. Respect! /quote] Thanks for the comments I am Away at work & still have a few weeks until I can see it for myself close up - Definately a good choice of colour.. It took me a long time to finally pick the colour - about 2 years of deciding & then changing my mind. Initially I was going to go for the Alitalia colours, but decided against those, as even though they look really good, there are a lot of them around & I really wanted somthing different. I think this scheme was about the 4th I considered & finally decided on, the yellow being dictated by the Colour of the Vinyl for the Decals. There are a couple done in the traditional Olio Fiat scheme, with blue/yellow & White, but I think only one with the Black & yellow & white & I have changed the Decals to be Personalized for me, so this is definately a one off.. And a Real Head turner - I just need to get it finished!

I know exactly how you're feeling! My car was in U.K. for 8 months, (I live in Mallorca)having some alloy panels hand crafted. After receiving the photo's of the finished work, I had to wait untill the end of the season here before I could get over and buy a van to collect it, and bring it back. It brings back thet kid at Christmas feeling all over again!

Picked the car up this morning from Paramount refinishing & The paintwork is fantastic & the colours just perfect... Here it is safe & sound at home. I want to just bolt all of the parts too it and see what it looks like all together, but would only have to take half of them off again, so I am trying to resist the temptation. Cheers

Said it before and I'll say it again.... GIT! ... Superb build and I like the none comformist Italia/Martini paint. Will the car finished by the end of March we have a PPC RWYB day at Santa Pod on the 29th. Would be great to see the car in the flesh and you can have a shake down run up the quarter mile while you're there.

I would love to be at the run what ya brung day in march, but realistically the car won't be finished & I will be away at work in march as well I am hoping to get the car on the road in the summer, but all depends on work & family commitments.... Also hope to have the Car in PPC at some point Presently working on the engine - I have finally got it totally stripped down, Heads and block going for cleaning tomorrow, then the heads to the machine shop to dress up the valves and seats, then some paint & I can start the rebuild.... once that's done I can start to rebuild the car........

PPC in the Park should be in May at Mallory and there's always the £999 Challenge June 29th. You're more than welcome along.
Have you spoken to Will' about a feature yet?

The car will be out and about as soon as it is finished - No point in having a car and not use it Shake down is planned for Blyton park circuit on a test day. Its local to me and nothing to hit As for a feature in PPC - I have been keeping will updated on a regular basis for the last 12 months..... things always take longer than planned. Engine is now stripped & all the alloy parts at my local Aqua blast place for cleaning, then the heads go to have the valve seats & valves ground. Then some paint & bolt everything together..... Only prep work left for the engine is to gap the rings & hone the liners - I have a ball hone that I plan to use for that.. Then of course I need to check the clearances during the build - If I am lucky the engine should be built by Xmas or if not then before the end of the year...

You should pop over the the PPC forum. It's a more focused forum without the Gramar Police.

The plan will be to do a Private test day mid week, so I can get out on the track when I like & because there will be less cars there. I guess a few spectators should be no problem. Of course that plan might not come off and it might end up on a public day with all the boy racers....

EFA You need some quality time alone with the car so you can get to know her again and the characteristics of the new platform. The last thing we want is for you to hit boost and hit a car that was five hundred Yards away a second ago.
