I have just fitted a set of new head studs to my 1937 Austin Ruby mk 2 the car starts and runs ok but there is water seeping out of the top of two studs,
any ideas anyone ?

If, like Chevy engines, some of the bolts/studs go into the water jacket then you need to fit them using Loctite 572 which will seal them nicely.

sounds like you've had some water/oil down the hole before screwing them in and hydraulically broken through in to a waterway.

Loctite may solve it.
Cheers Steve,Good idea but I was hoping not to take the head off again, do you think they might eventually seal themselves or not ?

This would be the best place to ask;

Would be better if you could clean the holes but 572 is fairly oil and water tolerant so you may get away with draining down, taking out bolts one at a time, clean/dry bolt, insert bolt and remove it again to try and clean out the hole, clean bolt again and apply Loctite, fit bolt.
Worth a go before stripping the whole lot down again.
The other option is to use Radweld or Bars Leaks.
