Hi All,

1st post here and it a "HELP" type one !

I have a 4.5 Rover V8 Built by John Eales, I now need an exhaust making for it from the manifold base. I have a set of JED Big Bore Manifolds to suit the porting on the heads, the rest needs to be done. I have all the secondary and tech bits JE has advised I have, but I am stumped as to who to use ?

I am based near Guildford Surrey, is there anyone that knows of a decent exhaust fabricator nearby, most if not all seem to be the far ends of the country to me ?

The closer the better, recomendation is key and valueable, equally anyone nearby I should aviod like the plaque ?

Fingers crossed you can help, much appreactied if you can

I'm guessing you don't do your own fabrication?

And I've no idea who I'd avoid like the plaque- dentists, I suppose?

Yep I do 99% of my own fabrication, Roll cages winch bumpers and other stuff, prob is full mandrel benders are too expensive, and radial not much less, the exhaust is complex that I am looking for and don't really fancy trying assorted bends and welding up, I am happy to pay for once - but wnat a proper job

re my spelling its a combo of poor typing and dxyslexia thanks very much

Was hoping for a better reply to a 1st post asking for help frown

I'll second Simpson.

They are not cheap - top quality work never is.

Hi both

Thanks for the links, Simpson do seem to have a good repuation, in fact I have had nothing but good news on them so far both here and elsewhere.

Whilst not as close to me as I would like, its not too far, more the ag factor of taking it there just for a quote etc, I was also told about blueflame, and thats out of the question from the fuel bill alone

Thansk for the above so far anymore for anymore ?

I never expected this to be cheap, then again whats ever cheap on a tuned V8 ? grumpy

Hey Nige,

Guys say hello to Nige, he has one of the fastest landrover 90s around as it's stuffed full of highly tuned JED RV8- most of the bits he found in a box cheap !!!!!!!!! It has also been breathed on by Mr Mark Adams and by all acounts goes like sh1t off a shovel- all i know is it sounds lovely- where's the vid of you getting the beast tuned.

Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
