2 306 XSi questions

Hi all,

Mates 306 XSi has two problems, one is an oil leak, we took out the airfilter and when you look in the box which the air flows through, theres a pool of oil. Should the oil be there?

Secondly the car has really low idle, dropping around 400RPM im not sure what causes this on the Pugs.

It depends on the oil breather system on the 306 Xsi. On most 106's the oil breather pipe feeds in to the top of the filter, leaving a nice little puddle in the filter housing.

Thanks for the reply, just found out its the pistons rings have gone causing massive pressure in the oil system, causing leaks all over and the funky idle is due to air getting in some where!
