Limited Slip Diff & MOT
Discussion
Can a viscous coupling type Limited Slip Differential be safely tested on brake-test rollers during an MOT test?
I can understand why a mechanical LSD would not like being used on brake-test rollers, but would have thought that a viscous coupling LSD would be tolerant enough to withstand a few low speed rotations on the rollers without sustaining damage.

Tell the tester 1st,my local testing station wont roller test the rear brakes on such cars with LS Diffs as in TVR,BMW,etc,he prefers the Tappley meter and a roadtest.
They just don't want to be accountable for any damage.. which is fairey muff.Gassing Station | Engines & Drivetrain | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
