944 porsche 1986

i have just brought a 944 porsche 1986 2.5 , every time i drive the car i have to rev the engine so it does not stall,
can anybody help with some suggestion? it is ok when it is warm but it is running a bit rough, i have services the car
but still the same, thanks jasfitz.

I have the same engine across a few cars.

What is it ticking over at first off.

Is it running smoothly off idle? Decent spark? Vac leak? Good compression? Etc, try googling 'clarks garage' plenty of 944 related help and info, although you will need to speak American.
