Electrickery problem. Bad earth?
Discussion
I would carefully check battery to starter motor lead and battery to engine/chassis lead.
I had a Vauxhall Omega once which would sometimes be dead, I gave up looking for the fault in the end and took it to the garage, at one point it would only start when the weight of the car was off the wheels! It was a poor engine earth connection in the end.

Check the resistance across the battery earth cable & the 12v feed to the starter. Does it still show 12v with the ign on?
Resistance across the earth cable is virtually nothing. Resistance on the starter feed is also minimal, although I didnt check the voltage. Will check tomorrow.Gassing Station | Engines & Drivetrain | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
