If this has worked there should be a lovely pic of my Odyssey Blue Ro! It is currently in storage, but i did take it out for a blast a few days ago whilst there is still no snow on the ground. smile

Thanks Paul.. the pic is of me at Greens showroom.

The day I collected mine brand new June '06 from Greens, the Vauxhall dealer in Kent (how many guys remember their significant contribution as a Wortec agent) there was an Odyssey CV8 on the back of a recovery truck with a very bent near-side. I asked on it's likely future and write-off was the assumption. I believe another met the same fate.
The salesman told me that I had got the last Odyssey.
I bought it over the phone without seeing it in the raw and thought I was getting a "Gunmetal" colour from the i-net photos! I was well chuffed when I saw it for real.

I know this makes me sound a bit of an anorak, but there were 29 Odyssey Blue CV8s originally (the same number as yellow) and in the 2 1/2 years I've had mine and all the meets I've been to, I've only ever seen one other.( Owned by a Scottish guy called George, who is a lurker!)

It would be interesting to know how many of this rare colour are still at large. I know some of you are lurkers, so it would be nice if I could tempt you into posting.

I'll start the ball rolling with mine.
It is such an unusual colour and always gets positive comments.

Hey, Richard. Your front number plate is too big! With your characters, you're a cinch for having a legal plate. Check Gav's photo. Greens told me they were obliged to fit a full-size plate to mine but recommended me to shorten mine wink

As Hex said the best colour...... Red

But on a more serious note, I've seen quite a few of the older shaped monaros and VXR versions on the road but still have need seen another 05 cv8 on the road apart from meets and at the fish. Maybe I should do one for the reds.

Scottish George who lives in Norfolk, (Wisbech I think).

2 cars written off,

That's 13 of the 29 so far, not bad for one days digging.

Paint details

Taken from the faded label:

Colour Name..........Granite Grey
Car manufacturer.....GM (Holden)
Manufacturers Code...276M
Variant Code.........Original Shade
Pro-Spray Number.....GR64209BC
Construction Year....04
Without Lead Medium..Solids (MS)

It is an exact match, and wasnt mixed specially as I had my car 200 miles away laugh - one repainted door handle using the paint.

Hopefully some use to you guys.

Thanks Hex, very interesting. 276M is the correct code, but there does seem to be a problem where paint shops use machines to mix it themselves. I'd love to re-spray the front bumper and get rid of the stone chips, it's the only part of the car that isn't perfect.

Maybe the answer is to buy the paint and give it to the shop to use.

Forgot to mention, my Dad also has an Odyssey CV8 locked in his garage. Completely original with < 1000 miles!
