Going to head to the hotel for about 7.00 – 7.30,that means setting off from Leeds at around 5, if any one else is going south at around that time. Could meet up at Ferrybridge services A1 at about 5.15.

There is a Shell station west just off J17, the one before the hotel going south.
The other one is just south of the RAF base heading north, if anyone wants to fuel up in the morning,

Spoke to the hotel and breakfast is from 7.00, so can have one at the hotel and one at Thunder Road

Car is as sorted as it’s going to get, didn’t quite get around to washing it though.

I am No. 72, managed to be last on the list, hope that doesn’t mean last on the day!

We will also need to dump all the luggage in a pile somewhere.

See you all there, getting giddy now. smile

Right, camera mounts sorted for T/R:-). Primary camera is bolted to the passenger head rest and ain't going anyway. Got a secondary "dash" cam pointing at the speedo and tacho and isn't ideal but works well enough. Should make for some interesting onboard footage thumbup

i will probably only do about 4 or 5 runs as i will hopefully be data logging them and using them for tuning.

But thank you

Great day out, very well organised and a good venue.

Timing, however, was both unreliable and inaccurate.

According to the Racelogic box my four runs were

151.1
152.8
148.6 (s**t driving)
152.0

On two of these runs (unsure which) the timing worked, recording 142.46 and 142.96 mph.

Gareth (MyM8V8)quickest with 169mph, which was approx a true 179mph.

Great facilities i.e the base and VXR food and hospitality, all staff both army and vaux fantastic, weather excellent albeit too hot for my car.

Only managed one decent run (decent ish as missed 4th) speedo said 160 on the dot as crossed line, timing came back at 144mph, no idea which is more accurate.

Didnt do more runs pushing it as the temps were silly.

Big well done to Gareth and the others at the top of the board.

Great run down with the Scottish guys and same with part of the way back with Moif. Cheers
