Not sure if you have decided on places to stop on route on the saturday? We pass a place called the Drovers inn which is just past loch lomond it's got a big car park and if the weather is good there is seating area's outside? It's also the oldest pub in Scotland apparently? Shame we will not be drinking that early but it would be a good place to stop for a refreshment and to meet up?

Yeah I stopped there a few month ago and it seemed decent, might be a bit of an early stop though?

I haven't seen the route, but I live in Oban, if you're still going up to there and looking for a food stop let me know what you are after and I'll see if I can recommend anything. If it's a good day a fish supper on the seafront can be a real treat.

On a different note, others haven't realised your route won't be passing The Drover's Inn.
Personally, I think it's a dump. There's "character" and there's "needs a right good sorting out".

Ron,I think the "character" is the landlord's excuse for never cleaning or decorating the place!
At first we were going to have a bite to eat,but decided against it.

Ah my mistake just looked at the route again and we turn off a good bit before the Drovers in When me and the missus stopped there we sat out side in the sun and the food was good so really can't really comment on the cleanliness of the place?

So looks like we will have to plan some where else to stop? Anyway you coming along bigwheel?
