Just wondered how many 'one owner' VXR's there are still out there

I bought my 6.0 56 plate black (best colour) new and have driven almost all of the 96k miles its covered (my wife has driven a few as well)

(I am still counting cars that were pre registered by GM as one owner)

Its a daily driver with Wortec Cat back, AP's, Rip shifter, fish handling pac, LS7 clutch etc and is still going really well

Its starting to show its age now - but nothing out there I want to replace it with!

I assume there are still quite a few of us left, but I wonder

One owner CV8...bought it new in 2005 and covered 35k miles. No plans to sell for the foreseeable future.

not quite one owner, bought mine 14 months after it was registered, first owner only had it for 6-7months from new, rest of time it sat in a dealers forecourt. I'll have had it 7 years come august and its now done 36k miles (garage and 1st owner had put on 8-9k).

Ditto.

Vauxhall Fleet Management on the logbook on 16/07/06, 7k miles in 8 or so months, then me.

I've since done 23,000 miles, now doing only 2-3k per year for pleasure

I had a vehicle that was registered by VX Fleet Management a couple of years ago. When I was investigating it's problemmatic past (despite being only 10 months old when I got it) it turned out that VFM farm their cars out to lease companies etc. and have little control over them. All this bks about VX senior managers driving them round is just sales guff. Sorry for bursting the bubble frown

Don't worry, I never said it had been driven by a director or whatever. I bought on condition anyway, and it was very much like brand new, no obvious sign of abuse or neglect or burnouts biggrin, even the Bridgestones had plenty of life left. wink

I think I just got shafted. BTW it was a Vectra, so it serves me right I suppose. I ended up losing £12k in 18 months with that car and it spent most of it's time off the road awaiting parts. They were all known issues but that didn't stop the sloping shoulders brigade in Luton from making life as difficult as possible. Approaching the end of the warranty period with another knackered autobox I had no choice but to get rid. I feel a little sorry for the next owner, for me it was a bit like a game of pass the parcel only with a live grenade eek

That said, Fleet Management have shifted some very nice low mileage cars at very good prices. I wasn't lucky.

If we're talking VXR8s as well, then ours is Pre-reg + us. As that's only 2 1/2 years, I would think there are plenty more like us.

My 05-reg was a Vauxhall sales manager's car for 2,900 miles. No has 24,000 on the clock. Along with 2-years+ outside various garages awaiting completion of various mods.
