Good thanks Stick. Been crazy busy at work, so haven't been on here much. Counting down to my holiday at the end of next month now and I will certainly need it by the time it gets here! Sorry if I've missed it, but what's the latest with your car mate?

Nearly sold Mrs S's old car today, but after thrashing it for 10 miles (I nearly told him to stop and let me drive back), we were 200 quid apart.

It could cost you more, waiting in for a couple of tyre kickers.

It could cost you more, waiting in for a couple of tyre kickers. He drove the 250 mile round trip to look at it, not me. I dropped from £5495 to £5000 and he wanted to pay £4800. After spending an hour and a quarter trying to pick holes in it, ten miles thrashing the arse off it and retracting a bid of £5000 ten seconds after making it, I decided that it was time to bring things to a swift halt and put it back in the garage. The famous Asian tradition of hard negotiation was alive and well, (they always drive a very hard bargain) but I'd had enough and would frankly rather SOR it to a mate to put on his site for £4500 and let him earn a few quid, than give him the satisfaction after what he did. Illogical but emotional.

Illogical but emotional. I can understand that now. If you'd already agreed at £5k (for however long) there's no way of knowing how much lower he would have wanted it to dropfrom the £4800. If he does reappear, you'll have to start at £5500 again.
