GSD has the knowhow, and can probably utilise some of the spare parts that he has in his garage.

I'm surprised that they can't get the parts for it, yet 10,000 rivets flying in close formation (otherwise known as a Lancaster) still manages to stay airworthy.

When we had the BBQ at Donk's, a few weeks ago, (I think) he arranged for it to fly over. Very majestic.

Amazing differance in the two aircraft but each superb in their own right,Vulcan howl on take off and lancaster prop driven great sight to seeI'm surprised that they can't get the parts for it, yet 10,000 rivets flying in close formation (otherwise known as a Lancaster) still manages to stay airworthy.
I'm very lucky to work near the white cliffs of Dover, which are very often used as the back-drop when Spirfires and Hurricanes are filmed. About two weeks ago, I heard a Merlin engine as I walked to the car, so looked up, and saw a Spitfire being filmed by a helicopter. After a couple of circles over Dover (with the helicopter in different positions to get different footage), the Spit barrel-rolled before heading off west, with the helicopter in persuit. Fantastic sight.

You guys making it hard to stay north watch Tornados but no Spitfires or merlin engines would love to see the mustang and thunderbolt at an airshowGassing Station | HSV & Monaro | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
