Went to the Fish this morning for a pre T/R check over, she's got a clean bill of health and ready to go. Managed to get from the Fish to Croydon in 90 minutes which wasn't bad going
Lots of traffic then? ARAF said:

Bugger took the car in as the gear shift didnt quite feel right, roger drove the car and said yes some thing is not 100% but the box works fine. so we chatted and agreed it could be possible early sign of spigbot bearing failure so we decided best course of action was take box off check the bearing and replace. box came off and it was not the spigbot bearing failure so me thinking on labour saving asked roger while the box was out to look at my dodgy reverse as its never gone in first time since the day i had it. upon opening the box for reverse we found the problem... reverse was knackered (no surprise there) the reverse selector fork was broken (surprise there) and the following gears where damaged 6,5,4,3(actually had teeth missing ), long with the main shaft being excessively worn..
so only one thing for it.. fix the box as its still cheaper than buying and fitting a new one..
