I've used them on several cars with no complaints. They are known ot have softer side walls than some but you get god feel as a result. Very similar to Kumho KU31/39 in price and performance. Not quite a premium tyre but the price usually reflects.

IMHO these are not stiff enough in the sidewall for a heavy powerful VXR8........

They are a soft compound and apparently do grip well.

I bought my Ro a few weeks ago and the previous owner had 4 of these fitted. The only negative thing I would say is that they seem quite noisey. Bear in mind though I have nothing to compare them to.

Had them on my 147GTA. Horrid, massive tyre flex and couldn't wait to be rid of them - PS3's which replaced were a revelation in comparison.

I went through this question when I was thinking abouit finding a better wet weather tyre for my old "S" which was running quite high BHP, talked at length to all the tyre reps and none gave me the confindence that their tyre would do the job.
What you have to take on board is the weight of the car and the fact they all are tail happy, especilly with lots of power so accidently coming in contact with hard obsticals can happen so a good stiff sidewall is important, softer sidwalls will fail sooner on impact.
I will stick with Bridgestone as thay do work well except you must warm them up a little especially in cold and damp conditions as I found out on new years morning.
The Michelin Super Sport are great and are renound for great grip, just not very stiff (think) in the sidewall, as the Bridgestones wear down I will start looking for a replacement, mind you I seem to sell my cars before I wear the tyres out.
Tyres are the only thing between you and the road and when you compare tyre prices to fuel.......tyres are still the cheapest vs. fuel.
We sell quite a few Falken for powerfull heavy cars and are quite cheap.

Im running 452's on the rears on the vxr8 and have to say they are better than the Goodyear F1's I ran before ... very planted and plenty of grip ... and when the back does go its very predictable and easy to control
