My first pass on the new front shocks at the Mopar Nationals was a very creditable 10.6, which is not bad considering I was running just 6psi of boost for the entire run (around 700fwhp). We switched the AMS controller on for the second pass, which was programmed to up the boost to 14psi at the eighth. The lights changed. The guy next to me launched well. My turbos kicked hard at the tree. The tail pulled the car way out of shape and I crossed the track. Opposite lock straightened her up, but it was impossible to remove the lateral momentum. The blow to my left kidney and ribs resulting from the impact with the wall left me unable to catch my breath until the ambulance arrived. I ache like f**k, but don't have any serious injuries. That wall is bloody hard. All I can say is you all need to buy a helmet and neck brace. And I now have no regrets about cutting the seat to fit the five point harness. The near side of the car is now very flat. The wheels are toast on that side. The battery was ripped open at the terminals. The dash split. The central console broke. The near side airbag went off. I lost the oil return on one turbo. The pipe work for the fire extinguisher was all over the road. The boot lid latch snapped off. My Samsung Galaxy S2 snapped in my pocket. A small bottle of water fell out of the cup holder and my in car fabreeze device hasn't been seen since. Luckily the engine seems fine Why did it happen? Well nothing appeared to break. The car ran straight as an arrow on the previous run and on the burnout. The boost controller worked fine (6psi at this stage). I just suffered a catastrophic lost of traction on one wheel. A couple of other cars also had problems just after the tree later than day. It could be cr*p left on the strip/burn out area from RWYB cars on street radials. This really buggers up traction for more powerful cars. More to follow on this as we strip the car down. Someone has a video, so I'll try to get it uploaded onto YouTube. So it's back to Doncaster for a bit of t-cut and a visit from Dents-B-Gone. Back next Spring with any luck.

Hi, I was there today and was filming when you crashed, sadly I panned and filmed the other car which carried on!
I do pan back and you can see the car isn't where it should be and something is a bit wrong.
My sister said there was a load of glass, your side window just exploded!
I'll post a video tomorrow if I can if you want me to?

Bad news hope you get it all sorted I know what it's like to lose a bottle of water in seriousness glad you are all good. Other than the minor injuries. Hopefully the monaro gets back to speed and looking good. Want to see a rapid twin turbo in action but with they way they are disappearing for a while looks like I will have a wait. Such a shame. All the best

Glad to hear it was only the car that suffered the most.
If over the next few days your farts start to smell better, you may know where your car fabreeze went ! Lol
