Where to begin.....please bear with me......

A some of you may have heard we lost a fellow PHer at the end of May.:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=115...

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

or in the local new paper articles:

http://www.spenboroughguardian.co.uk/news/local/wa...

Kyle Stock (K15TOX) was my best friend, having known each other throughout high school since we were 15 and from there were car buddies. Kyle had been in the military from leaving school and completed 3 tours of duty for his country. After leaving the army he had just found a new job that he was due to start before his accident. Kyle was a founding member of the Scottish HSV/Monaro owners 'clan' and obviously an avid PH member. Kyle has fortunately left a little piece of himself behind though. His partner Emma is pregnant with his child.

A fellow PHer, Tony (V40TC formally white90), has contacted me as he has wished to help raise some £££ for Kyle's unborn child and partner. He was a ticket winner for a ride in Andy Frost's RED VICTOR 3 drag race car. RED VICTOR 3 is the World's fastest STREET LEGAL drag car.

Tony has kindly donated his ride in order to raffle it off, with all donations going to Emma and Kyle's child!!!!

After discussion with some fellow PHer on the HSV forum (GSD2000, Monaro5.7 to name only a couple) and with Andy Frost (RED VICTOR 3 owner), Tony (V40TC – ticket holder) and Paul Garlick (Garlick – PH manager) we believe a raffle would be the best and most fair way to get Emma some donations......

To accommodate the raffle we have set up a PAYPAL account. This is solely used for the raffle ticket donations. We have set a donation price of £5 per raffle ticket. You can donate more is you wish and will receive one ticket for every multiple of £5 donated. All donations will be counted by myself, Kyle's father Bryan and Gurmeet (GSD2000) such that there are multiple safeguards in place to ensure everyone's donation is counted correctly. As we receive donations paypal will notify us and we will have a record of all donations made. Unfortunately we cannot accept posts of names and donation amount in the thread without being notified by paypal of the donation amount. Current numbers of tickets will be available on request.

Andy Frost himself will pick the winning ticket from a hat to enure there is no outside interference, as we'd all love a ride in RV3. Furthermore, anyone involved in the raffle, i.e myself and other mediators, may NOT win a ride in RV3. We can however donate and receive tickets provided they are donated to another person in the case that we win.

The last thing to know is the PAYPAL address for donations:

k15tox.rideraffle@gmail.com

Watch this space as there will be a PH news feature to come.....

We will notify everyone involved on this thread and via email when a date has been set for the ride and when the raffle closes. We must also note that RED VICTOR 3 has some restrictions. No one under the age of 15 or over the age of 65. Height is restricted to between 5ft 5inch upto 6ft 2inch. Max. weights for the seat is 15 stone. If any winner is outside the criteria they may allow a family member or friend to take their place. In the event there is no one to take their place a second that will have been drawn out of the hat will be next in line.

Thank you all for your time and kind donations....
Luke Maud (maudyZ28)

Luke, just checking that this is the only method of donating to Emma and the wee one on the way?
Has another account been set up for straight donations?
Its a shame you can't make the meet up here.

I've been speaking with Gurmeet about this as I know a few of you guys have donations for her...I will get her details when I am next there for bank transfers and the likes.
There will be an account or something set-up for the baby but at the moment with everything its not at the forefront of things.

Yeah unfortunately camaro is running lean for no apparent reason...might be a sensor issue or could be the pump...i've got some new injectors in now and its still there.

just an update guys,

firstly I hope you've all had a good Christmas and New year

So far we've raised about £400 for Emma and Amber Mae, who is nearly 3 months old now, and thankfully got quite a few Christmas clothes as she's growing so fast.

Thanks to everyone who's donated so far to the raffle, and thank you for your continued support throughout

As it's the new year I will be speaking with Kyle's dad about a trust fund account for Amber Mae now as I know you guys are still wanting to donate this way.

Thanks again

Hi All, just and update as i've been intouch with Jez and thought i'd better let everyone know.

Firstly thanks all again, we've had a few more donations come in but were still and are just over £400 now. Still we were overwhelmed by the support at the Midlands meet that you dedicated to Kyle and all the donations that went to Emma and Amber

Second, I have been intouch with Andy Frost but not heard anything back just yet, so will message again. i;m not the type to keep plaging but will chase it up a bit now biggrin

Third, We (16 of friends and family) have just done the Yorkshire 3 peaks in Memory for Kyle and for the Air ambulance and the felix fund bomb trust charity who have helped Emma out this last year. We raise just over 6k for the charities so are very please. I didnt want to hound you all on here for donations as I feel you have already done so so so much for everyone that it is unfair to keep coming back to you all the time and dont want everyhting to become a chore for you guys or make you feel abliged to help all the time. Hope you understand what I mean biggrin

Lastly, everyone is doing quite well. The walk was very emotional but we al powered through. Even Kyles youngest brother at 11 years of age did the full 26 miles !!!. Amber Mae is doing great and growing up fast and will be crawling around shortly and be scuttling everywhere. Emma is staying very strong as always as are the family who are just trying to go about things as best they all can. So overall everything is going as well as it could be.

Thanks again Guys, speak to you all soon, (hopefully) with an update!
