I was absolutely deafened with my cutouts 100% opened on the tunnel run! Just a pity we all got split up,still,we had a good day though.

We kept to the speed limit- honest officer

Will, get yourself one bought! I'd recommend a GoPro 2 with external mic (mine is a 1 with integrated mic- not as good). Or if you've been really good, you could get the GoPro 3- it's just been launched in america.

bought a new sat nag today-garmin. better than tom tom-also cheaper. I had the Go Pro on the bonnet but got too mmuch wind noise-must be sausages... said to mikey will experiment with sponge covering mike to 'dumb' wind rush.Good tunnel film mike.

Let me know how you get on with the sponge covering Hugh. Might try that myself of it works.

It's a GoPro HD Hero. In Hindsight I should've bought the GoPro 2 with the external mic, as you can have the camera at the front of the car (or situated anywhere) and have an external mic lead situated at the rear (minimising wind noise and getting full exhaust noise).

TBH, I'm only scratching the surface of what can be done with these cameras. You can even attach two together and make 3D films

LOL, I'm looking for a cheap (sub £100) camera (really doesn't need to be more than 720P) that has a n ext microphone socket...that's my priority for obvious reasons
