Le Mans ? ( iam not going this year) other plans.
Don't you like the cooking? I'll be running a Spring Midlands meet in aid of Kyle Stocks Emma and her little one. The food and catering will be free, as usual, but we'll be doing some fund raising stuff such as a raffle, maybe an auction or 2. etc.

Mopar Nats at Santa Pod at the end of July is always a cracking meet plenty of old school and new muscle cars on display and constant drag strip action for those who choose to run, I think our cars are more suited to this meet than the PVS.
Oh and its not all Mopars plenty of variety and numbers.

I'll second that. I don't know why everyone seems to keep on going to this performance vauxhall show, considering a majority on hear seem obsessed with the fact they don't have a vauxhall but a Holden!!
Ive been to few meets this year, but none of the above. Instead I went to NASC Street Rod Nationals for the August bank holiday weekend, Mersea Madness put on by Action Hot Rod Association and a couple of local meets for various Americana. I found the Monaro to be warmly accepted amongst the hot rodders, and muscle car owners.
+1 Anything with less than 8 cylinder vehicles on display is banned.
Why would you bother? I cant see any benefit. You might as well go and park up in the local Tesco or Asda carpark.
Which is why I vote for the Bigmeet in Sweden
Largest collection of V8's in the world. Well American cars anyway, so possibly right.

Totally agree! Much more appropiate event.

That's why I didn't bother with performance vaxhall show. Doesn't work as well as proper rods/muscle car meetings.
I'd even say for more variety not to bother with Corvette Nationals either. I mean, the NASC Nationals at Trinity Park in Ipswich was superb, plenty of Corvettes modern and classic all the way through the decades...and many many classic muscle cars, rods and customs, even several classic Holden muscle motors were there! It's huge meet, a weekend event or just Sunday for show and shine if you wish.
I'd also say Dragstalgia is definately worth a visit too. I went this year and in the same way that Le Mans Classics is highly entertaining this is also!
Lastly FIAA Euro Finals, this was wonderful, various classes of street and strip cars (99% V 8's) the Top Fuel class for anyone who hasn't seen these...YOU MUST!! This IS what the drag strip was predominantly made for, real dragsters.
