Big Power Meet 2013, Vasteras, Sweden 4-6 July
Discussion
As a precaution and to reserve something. I managed to find a decent 6 bed place in the town so have booked that.
It was only available on a week basis, but cest la vie. Looks like about €150 PP for the week.
Apparently someone will get in contact with me about it. Dont worry about cash yet. Ill confirm its booked first then we can worry about who wants in next and figure out if we need to find additional space.
Accommodation to and from should be easy we can just rock on up as and when on a day by day basis.

Shame you can't come fella. Plenty of time yet for things to change though.
Very true, time will tell. Looks like a trip of a lifetime, and it's only 1226 miles from here too That's only three tanks of fuel in the Calibra
Three tanks off fuel? I dont think your taking into account what happen the first time you get on the autobarn and get all excited.
On a side note I am excited to maybe get my first spot.
I was thinking something reasonably direct. I think its possible to get there and back in just over a week depending on how many days are spent in Vasteras.
That being said, there is ample opportunity for side trips. Its possible the Mrs will join me, in which case we may head to the hills for some hiking along the way to break up the travel. I think some trip advisor planning is in order. Maybe a few walled towns, and historic pubs as well etc
For a relaxing tour, 2 weeks is probably more appropriate.
What sort of journey is everyone keen on? We could start and finish each end of the tour as a group, but diverge in the middle taking in which ever sights appeal? And/or have set meeting points along the way. I would imaging everyone would be keen on stopping at some interesting points along the way, at the very least for some good photo op's.

This sounds good to me it's been 6 years since I've had a holiday That being said, there is ample opportunity for side trips. Ok, well the endpoint and dates are known. So we will all meet there anyway.
Ill do some research and post up the route we will take. I still need to get confirmation from the Mrs. That will determine which route. If its just me I think a route of windy, empty roads would be preferred over motorway travel with slight diversions to stay in interesting towns rather than a motorway services.
I think its doable 3 up, 3 back and 2-3 at the show.

I would really have loved this trip but work is so demanding that we haven't even had a holiday this year. Asking the wifey to stay behind and cover me at work whilst I saunter off to Sweden for a week might not be entirely fair. Certainly wouldn't be safe to ask her
Looks like you guys are planning a great trip, I wish you all the best with it.
For me, another time maybe.
