Ok, I had had a set of these brought over from the states for my keys, they are a pain in the backside to track down in the UK, they fit fine and my keys look much better for it. I`ll be heading back to the states in September, so wondering if anybody wants any bringing back.
The buttons alone will be £15, the fob back with transmitter will be £30. If you want the tramsmitter coding you will have to go to vaux, or someone with the kit, I reused my old inards!

Hi, I have just bought a VXR8 and both of the keys are falling apart! I would ideally like to replace the whole fob. I am also going to America in September so might do the same! I don't suppose you have a spare one laying about that I could buy from you just so I've got a decent key until sept? If I could do one of them it would be something!

I've just ordered two button sections from an HSV dealer on Aus ebay as both my keys are sh*gged as well. When or whether they ever arrive is another matter but it all seemed above board.

The price? 18.98 dollars including shipping - that's about 12 quid.

They also had the flippy key sections for about 45 quid.

This makes me laugh smile

If you ring your local Vauxhall dealer with the part number, you may well be surprised...

I need the whole fob though, as the half with the flip key is also broken - do you have that part number too? biggrin

Same with me, I need the whole fob as my flippy key bit is also duff. On a different note, has anyone had any brake pad rattle? Mine is bl**dy terrible but only at low speed over certain bumps... got some shim but don't hold out much hope for that stopping it!

My bad then, I`ve obviously been ripped off, I tried various Vauxhall dealers with the part number and got told they could not get them.

Shim kit will stop it.

I contacted Motor Bodies, Luton today and the fob costs £2.58 + VAT.

I'm buying 2 as they are so low cost.

They are not in stock and have to be ordered, would a group buy be a good idea?

Im in for that. What part are you getting as both the button part and the flip part really need replacing with mine.

Not sure - at a few quid I wasn't going to worry too much. I presume the items are like the photos at the top of this posting - these are tatty on mine.

Is it one you want?

For £2.58 I would guess that they are just the rubber button covers? I can't imagine you would get half of the key assembly for as little as that.

I must admit, the Holden parts for the cars are bl00dy cheap. I managed to lose one of the roof rack rail cover plates on ours, and the replacement was 50p. smile
