That was the discussion Me109 fuel injected Spitfire had carbs someone said there was a mechanical fix for this could only find later engines had low and high pressure superchargers fitted as was used in the later mustangs.

They were retrofitted with a neg g carb consisting of a positive pressure bowl if I remember correctly.
