Been using this, http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewPro... its good and lifts things off and softens the crap underneath, followed with some megs gold class shampoo (you can get that from halfords) then keep the car wet whilst drying it one pannel at a time starting from the top working down.
Going to try some of this now though to see how it goes, gets good reviews: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewPro...
Detailingworld.co.uk is the place to go. wash the car then clay it if needed, then clean the paint then glaze then wax or just wax. Wash from top to bottom and in vertical strokes
Anal yes but worth it. Once you've done the above a wash can be as quick as twenty minutes as the prep works been done
My cars 12 years old, its been abused by previous owners and then BMW but the paint condition is still better than newer cars
I'm into a bit of detailing myself, in fact I had someone round yesterday to give the headlights on my car a good clean, and a brilliant job he did too, I'm very pleased. Car will look like new very soon.... Going to try some of this now though to see how it goes, gets good reviews: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewPro...
