Thanks for the good wishes everyone, timing is horrific & really have not had much luck with this garage so far so hoping some good karma is coming!!
Have got to go back to the fracture clinic later this week just keeping fingers crossed I don't need an op to pin the bone together as that will totally fk things up frown

neil I pretty successfully smashed my heel about 14 years ago, I was too ill to operate, smashed the calcaneus too. Today I walk sometimes pain free sometimes with pain but my foot was mangled beyond recognition and I get by, if they offer to fix the ankle (fuse it) you can get a 2nd opinion as I chose not to

Calcaneus is what I have fractured no other damage to my ankle which the doc was quite surprised about
Apparently it's quite rare to just break that & nothing else

Rest up mate and take it easy..obviously not ideal with business to run though frown

I wrecked my knee 17 years ago and due to not listening to doc's and getting back in action too soon I made things worse, have since had 3 more op's over the years and given up now. I just live with it dislocating daily and pop it back in myself.

Take you time..it will be worth it in the long run.

Good advice, but easier said than done when you're running a business.

Your not wrong already been debating cutting the cast off & letting nature take its course with healing as it's been like
It a couple of weeks already & I've just

I think that would be silly. Your problem is your type of work, and the amount of time you have to stay on your feet. Maybe hobble around the workshop with your cast on?

Can't put weight on it at all frown
Also I think health & safety may have a view with my open toe laugh

I've managed to sort the work I had in by rebooking/ subbing it out so I just have to deal with vosa this week which is straight forward enough smile
