I don't surpose you want to do a swap for your front bumper?
Yes STICK. I will swap it for a supercharger kit smile))
I prefer the front and back bumpers, and placement of the rear lights on the Holden, to the VXR*. They are not as sleek, but I like the more brutal look...............and the fact that I believe that it is unique in the UK.

oil is a complicated fluid to measure temp, as it does not transfer heat quickly so you can get hot spots in the oil .The generators we used to make we had to fit the senders in the oil gallery's , as if you fitted them in the sump they would surge when the oil bypass valve squirted hot oil into the sump.
on some of the new diesel engines (industrial) the water temp can get up to 130 deg c, and the oil temp will usually be 20 degrees higher. but they don't show this as most people get alarmed that the water is 30 degrees above boiling point.

if push the car on the motorway the oil temp usually climbs above 130 degc ,as the water temp does not move i ignore it, if the coolant temp goes high the ECU would warn you?

Thanks for that Matrixxxx, I wondered why the water temperature remained relatively constant, but the oil temp rose so much, whereas I thought that if one gained significantly in temperature so would the other.

Yes, It belonged to Holden Racing. They wanted to Import a Commodore VE but were told that they had to go for the VXR8, but Holden agreed to send them the front and back end, lights, airbag etc to turn it back to a Commodore. The only remaining traces of VXR8 is the stitching in the seats and the transfers on the brake calipers.
I also just texted Darren from Holden Racing and guess what.........he also said that the VXR gagues were suspect. Does yours run at 110c ( on the gague) normally?
I saw your car when I was at Holden Racing a few months back (when my car was getting some diagnostics done by Darren). I really like the way it looked with all of the Commodore parts. Quite an impressive race truck too yes
