That sounds like Stig's BMW! Except in that case I think the action was humanoid..
I knew I shouldn't have told mel there was a factory fitted shower adapter

So progress is at my awesome speed (mk2 cav in yr 7 of rebuild)

The new steering oil cooler failed from MF a few weeks ago, so we took the bumper off and I got covered when taking the old unit out. Since we decided to put some new brackets in to make it a proper job, my dad has made these

Currently zinc coated, just need to paint them black and mount it all. Should last longer than the std offerings.

Hello all, so finally got my finger out. Painted the new brackets.

I couldn't get to one of the jubilee clips for love nor money as i didn't jack it up......after plenty of mild swear words, I got a hacksaw blade and gentle cut it off. No cuts into the pipe so it worked. Then ran the new pipe and bolted up the new cooler.

My OCD wanted black clips but none to hand. I filled it up, no obvious leaks then topped it again after turning it over. There was a bit of a whine on lock, but after refitting the bumper and then took it up the road it disappeared (I think, the pipes were singing). Hopefully it was just the rack refilling. God I miss that car.

Went to billing over the weekend and saw a few VXR8s with the odd Ro. Pauls was there and so was a yellow CV8 mit spoiler. The mk2 cav was great.

Thanks.

Took it out last week and the "safety mode," kicked in. Ordered a TB from MF (thanks again Andy) and fitted it over the weekend. Back up and running and sounds better than ever. Took it for a drive yesterday and some moron pulled out on me on a dual carriage way.....then didn't speed up too quickly then didn't pull in too quickly either. Once I go past I indicated with a wave gesture on his driving ability. The traffic built up and then they were behind me taking pictures, as I pulled off the dual carriage way, more pics alongside. Either I am being facebooked, or they think I drove badly and the police will get the images......maybe they are like me and wanted to get some shots of the car in full flow. If anyone see them, please send me a link. It was near the bagshot M3 junction.

I find it's best to wave a "Thank-you" when people are being both courteous and utter tools. Obviously the former is only polite, and the mental irony of the latter doesn't transmit between the cars, so you can't offend the other driver. wink
