Don't mention the words Morgue and VXR8 in the same sentence, the owners get very worried hehe

As soon as I saw you'd updated the thread I knew you'd put something like that! hehe

Looks like I've swerved away from that one, now the VXR8 has gone. Does that make me a coffin dodger? hehe

It's easy to write these cars off, but to the price and non-availability of parts. I wouldn't let them write ours off, but with the grief that followed, I should have let them.

If i'm one thing, it's reliable?

Not a coffin dodger ARAF, but with your mode of transport now, certainly a coffin carrier! That's forward thinking mate hehe

Talking of your VXR8 ARAF, what was the outcome of the supposed "New Wheel" that was fitted which looked like just a respray that bubbled up?

We found out that it was a new wheel. I had a copy of the receipt for it, from the local Vauxhall dealer to the body shop. I spoke with Perrys at Canterbury. Vx asked if they could try painting it first, as they couldn't guarantee that another wheel wouldn't also flake. We agreed, but then the warranty dept. at Canterbury didn't reply to my e-mails, trying to book the car in.

I'd forgotten about that, and how low I was getting with that car. It was just one thing after another. Glad that chapter is now over. smile

OK, say no more, was just reminded and was curious of the outcome.

As you say, chapter over and the P100 looks great smile

New to the forum, just wanted to say high and introduce myself, based in Wigan in the North West, Lancashire. This week I'm picking up my new (new to me) VXR8/HSV after my old one was written off by a taxi driver! :-( Only had the old one 5 weeks before the crash! On the upside I'm going from an 6.0 Ls2 to a 6.2 LS3, just hoping that it lasts longer than 5 weeks this time!
Hope so too! Mine ended up off the road after 3 weeks of ownership after a lorry lost a tyre in front of me on the pitch black a42. Was not fun but fortunately only cosmetic!

Good luck and enjoy. The LS3 is a fantastic engine but not leap years ahead of the LS2 both are fantastic, enjoy it

My small plate was already on my Monaro. I'm sure someone will be along in a minute to point you in the right direction smile

They are legal on our cars, even with 7 letters/numbers (using the smaller motorcycle font). Measure the recess, and get one made up slightly shorter. With 5 digits you will still easily comply with the law on full sized letters/numbers.
