On Charlie's dyno, our standard LS3 was 329 - to the nearest hp, the same as SW02TEC's LS2 with headers, cat back, CAI and re-map.

Both done within an hour on the same day.
Is that all thatbwas done to S W02TEC?

Saw it at the pod last weekend, only saw 1 run though, lots of wheelspin...

It was a high 14, didn't break 100, so think it may have been a bit slippy off the line!

I thought the rods were for strength, as the central pillars are removed - so that you get the best of the LS2 design with the LS3 ports? I may be wrong though. scratchchin
The pillars are retained, the rods added to smooth the airflow into the runner, there are little gains from porting, the runner bar makes all the difference in the LS3/L76 intake. He has side by side flow data for stock, his intake and a ported fast 102 on FB and forums.

Ok yeah I did see that, wasn't easily readable. But looks interesting.
How much is the work?

Nice results, interested to see SRR results for a better comparison, is your cam emmisions friendly?

Are you numbers complete stock before vs after?

It's £150 for a bare intake, I haven't asked cost yet, I want to weigh up just the runner bars and if porting, I don't want to remove the pillars, a bit paranoid about the epoxy filling the holes coming out

Cheers. The cam is described (by both US and Aus guys) as emissions friendly. Plus, Monaro5.7 is running a similar cam in an LS1 and his passed emissions, so I'm confident it is. I'm going to get an emissions test to compare against my MOT, which was pre-cam install.
Before run is with headers, sports cats, catback and OTR intake.

Your cam choice is very close to this one from Pat G, it's on a 113+4 for the LS2 L92 combo with LSL lobes found here

http://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comp...

I'm interested to see how the torque is down bottom end compared to my current cam.

Mines drinking oil, I think valve stem seals, so when it goes in for surgery it could be a new cam, lightened valves and comps single LSL springs and modified intake.

He spoke to a wise man around cam spec smile

I take it John suggested not dialling in any advance on it? That would help the top end more.

Well, I'm back home with a cammed V8 cool

My first thoughts mainly surrounded the idle, which is superb.
YouTube link of warm idle:
http://youtu.be/0D40RkQ68H4

Kmud asked about town manners. I will admit that it isn't as town-friendly as a standard car. There's some hesitance and jumpiness but this only happens occasionally. The rest of the time it is extremely well-mannered.
Motorway cruising is on par with a standard car, and above 1,800 rpm the extra urge becomes apparent. It's too early to compare economy (new toys always mean a plummet in mpg!), but based on today (with lots of idling!!) it is roughly 5% less.
Power delivery on full throttle is intoxicating- it just keeps growing and growing all the way to the red line. It was raining/snowing so didn't really get a chance to properly get my toe down. Traction isn't an issue- VXR8 wheels with MPSS tyres matched to a steadily climbing power curve means the tyres are rarely overcome (unless you provoke it) smile Needless to say I'm hopeful of strong results in the 1/4 and the mile.
