Sorry you misunderstood my meaning, yes it's built for displays much like cars like the one77 were but generally as static displays.I think it's the moving donkey engine for shows rather than the power plant they plan to use that your friends may have seen.
That said the interior does look fantastic but only running a 7.2l engine to produce 5000hp does suggest it's not going to be up to the job.

This guy got the record at 283mph with 1700bhp helps that the ford gt has very good aero from stock

When he was interviewed after he got the record he did say 300mph was the next goal but a lot more power needed to be found.
