The rubber seals at the bottom of my front windows are looking quite tatty.

Does anyone know how much these are to replace?

I suspect a breaker may be my best bet.....

The outer ones are in ok shape, it's the ones that sit tight against the window that are cracked and falling apart.

But maybe they are attached?

We have these. And for less than the ones in the link. Not currently listed on our website though.

Try giving him a ring. phone

We really shouldn't be arranging potential transactions on the forum (or I'll get told off!)

Cheers thumbup

Alright, wasn't intended that way though...the felty bits on the door and b-pillar may have a similar life-span smash

I put this on the FAQ a while back:

"The felt/rubber weatherseals at the bases of both door windows on the Monaro can perish. This may allow grit to enter, which can lead to vertical scratches on the glass as the window is raised/lowered.

Part numbers according to my Vauxhall dealer are 0092093578 (right) and 0092093580 (left). Those part numbers appear to check out with the pdf of Pontiac GTO parts available on wikiauto (see the section on “Front Door” on the 10th page): http://www.wikiauto.com/Pontiac-GTO-2004-2006-Majo...

They are about £60 plus VAT each new. Labour from a Vauxhall dealer to fit was £51 plus VAT (0.6 hr), which suggests it's not a huge job."

The wikiauto site no longer appears to exist, but it is the same part as shown on the site linked to by ARAF above. The felt inner strip that touches the glass and the rubber outer strip are all the one part. I don't think you can buy just the felt.

Need to get the drivers side sorted on mine. It's had scratches in the glass from the day I bought her but noticed a new scratch the other day frown

Not sure if the scratches will polish out so I might need a new window too.......

If they are not too deep, Jewellers Rouge should do the trick with a piece of soft wood.

I was going to suggest the same - though using wool, rather than wood. wink

You get a much better rub with a bit of wood winkhehe

Not joking tho, my dad use to be in the toughened glass trade and he always used an offcut of wood with jewellers rouge, I never asked why but it always worked well.

Unfortunately he is no longer around to clarify why frown

I fitted these today after getting them from Monkfish on Saturday smile

They really are easy peasy to fit biggrin

Wind down the window & undo the screw holding the weather seal to the door at the b pillar end of the door, just pull it up and off it comes
I found it better to wind the window up again and then just push the weather seal onto the door from the door mirror end and push it down on the door all along to the end of the door, put the screw back and its all done, took me a max of 10mins biggrin

Good to know, I guess I'll do these with my door handles.
