And so would the house. wink

WRT your arguement, there is a scum class that really should be sterilised at birth. They are holding the rest of civilisation back - but unfortunately sterilising them would be a backward step for civilisation......

BTW, people saying about the car being low spec may be forgetting that it has a VXR bodykit and a nice set of alloys, which makes it a lot more tempting than the engine would suggest.

Another one gone sorry to hear, Corey on the VXR Forum had his corsa artic stolen, no broken glass still has both keys but police informed him of an issue that made it too easy to steal the corsa no matter what the model is and it wasnt the OBD port unlike the beemers.

Drop him a message as he doesnt want to publish it but he has gone to VX with the issue.

OK, perhaps I was being too lenient with my suggestions.

Thieves like that are scum, plain and simple. They have no place in society and quite honestly they truly do deserve a fitting punishment. And I dont mean prison..

It isnt the same as someone perhaps stealing food because they're starving etc

It is someone who has deliberately went out of their way to steal something another person has worked bloody hard for. And I absolutely despise people who steal, especially circumstances like that.

The sad insight that I see is that some people have grown to think it is acceptable or ok because of things like insurance...with insurance companies being another group of criminals I hate.

And you dont just lose an excess. You lose any NCB, you lose with whatever meagre sum they payout, over what it's really worth to you, plus your excess.
Plus then the extra you pay each year after losing the NCB. And that's not even getting into the emotional stress and hurt, and then inconvenience.

All that cost is money once again you worked very hard and honestly to earn.

The other sad insights is that the law also doesnt take this sort of very real car crime seriously. 32mph in a 30mph gets tackled harder. People causing no harm daily in their cars gets targeted harder.

People who deliberately go out and steal cars, quite often to use them as lethal weapons "joyriding" etc. How often do they really get caught ?
What level of resources are targeted towards real car crime, as opposed to fictional car crimes that are for fine generation from motorists doing no harm ?

Hopefully the car will be found, but more importantly hopefully the criminals will be found and receive a suitable justice.

Ok so a quick update, we found the number plates about 15miles away in a country lane. Along with our plates there was another set of plates and my wife's cars engine bay internals, wiring harness fuse box and maf pipe.

I reckon they stripped the cars on a farm somewhere near and dumped the bits off.

Many years ago, I watched as my precious TR-7 was getting hooked up to a tow truck. I ran out of my friend's house, wood 2x4 wall stud in hand, and beat the s##t out of the bd thief. Left him there in the street, bleeding from every pore and more or less unconscious. Then I drove home, and parked my little car in my garage.
