Unusually, I was struck in traffic BESIDE another Monaro today. On the A90 heading out of Edinburgh, I pulled alongside a black CV8 in my red CV8. Windows down and level in the traffic as we crawled along, I remarked "well, this is not something you see everyday", with which the driver of the other 'Ro agreed. We then exchanged some further pleasantries before going our separate ways.

I need to get a rarer car - they're too common these Monaros! On the positive side, the only thing better than being in a Monaro is being in a Monaro while looking at and listening to another one!

Standard black CV8 with possibly an exhaust on it?

Yeah. I've seen it about Edinburgh a fair bit. It's an 04 but on a 55 plate. Plate is ....WRC. Exhaust did sound a bit fruitier than standard. Don't think the owner is on here. He asked me if mine had the 5.7 too, which suggests he's not a Monaro geek, or he would know such things just from seeing my twin exhausts etc. Nice of him to acknowledge my car, though. He might not be on the forum but one of the nice things about Monaros is that NO-ONE drives them who isn't a petrolhead.
