I could hear the left hand side exhaust manifold blowing and couldn't see anything with a torch on inspection so whipped it out today.

Headers out:

Holey moley!:

Looks like the weld holding on the part number(?) has come through:

We have a welding contractor at work which I was going to give it to so he could weld it up but I have also been looking at the following...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190540890539?ssPageName=... - Possible direct replacement retaining OEM cats
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261419723677?ssPageName=... - Not sure of quality as unbranded
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190679787484?ssPageName=... - Would need to source high flow cats
http://www.capa.com.au/prices_exhaust.htm - Headers and cats combination, unsure of which size. I guess 2 1/2 to meet up with the Wortec cat back.
http://www.vpw.com.au/Category/Index/431529 - Again, would need to source cats

Not sure if these would meet up with a Wortec cat back or some alterations would be required, any help or advise welcomed. (BTW - I'm currently running a 122 SC)

Ahh right.

Just weld it up. Job done, 2 minute job ( for anyone with a welder of course )

I've just sorted the same issue on my R8 today...same side too !!

If you have a tiny exhaust noise from cold that goes away when warm it could well be this little bugger.
