What's your timescale? I'm going to have to up my game to keep up with you I reckon
I'm certainly pulling out some of the stops this winter, will be the first time the car is actually 'off the road', I've even made a list!
Not sure, I don't really want to take mine off the road just yet, but I'm tempted to start work...just got to move 2 palettes of breezeblocks before I can drive it into my garden!I'm certainly pulling out some of the stops this winter, will be the first time the car is actually 'off the road', I've even made a list!
I've not got much on to be honest...and these bits sort of run together in terms of access requirements:
- finish fitting 8" subs
- yank diff for 3.9s and truetrac
- drop subframe for polybushing and rust-proofing since I'm in there
- finish relocating battery
- finish relocating coil packs

Nothing secret squirrel or super special here
Sounds like a good selection of stuff that, the 3.9s will give it quite the kick up the backside!
I'm hoping to not be off the road for long, planning to get bits in advance as best I can by planning things a bit, then it'll just be down to slogging away at stuff and hoping the bits I've forgotten don't have long shipping times
Day 3 and nothings broken
although, since Tuesday night it has had:
Wheel alignment
Oil and filter change
Pollen filter change
Air con re-gas
New front brake discs, pads and fluid
A bloody good clean
DPF 'adaptation', EGR blank and a re-map
Now running close to 200bhp and 300+lb/ft and averaged 47 on a spirited run back from Banbury yesterday.
Rather liking my new dog basket

I've had 2 of these and they are great cars, much nicer and better looking than the usual Audi TDi pelt.
The Ti version is a great looking motor.

You need to take a long, hard look in the mirror. How can you not like a car where function has always been second place to form? So saying, my little Alfa was pretty damned useful as well as looking pretty - so the company has got better in that area too. I had my Jdtm remapped by Angel Tuning, Gary. I asked for more torque, and not at the expense of driveability, and got about 180bhp, which was good enough for a 9.35 Nurburgring time, and then there was this video, shot from a Boxster S at Bruntingthorpe...

Probably the best handling FWD car I've had, straight from the box. Apart from the remap and a towbar, the car was a completely standard TI (including oe tyres).
LOL - Ian , it was Angel who re-mapped it this week and emptied the DPF and blanked the EGR.
New glow plugs and MAP along with MAF and throttle body clean this week - the DPF was completely FUBAR so it makes sense to get the se items replaced/cleaned.
Agreed if I needed a 'proper' estate something German would have been more suitable...but just look at it
