Saying that the points system is very tuff, lost 4% on one last year for one bit of toilet paper in the ladys on the floor at 8pm n a friday while taking over £500 an hour!!

IIRC it goes broadly along these lines for at least an 80% score (at least for the chains I worked in):

1: Acknowledge customers within 30 seconds at the bar
2: Inform of any delays in serving either food (busy kitchen) or drink (busy bar)
3: Keep the place clean
4: Be polite

The rest of it then just comes down to brand standards. Really not hard to keep to those standards with a small amount of training and staff competence.

harder than that now .. with M+B there was over 180 question yikes

Basic ( including brand standard) would only get you about 60% ......

Our company avg is 89%

Pubs scores on my area last month (22 pubs)

5 x 100%
4 x 96%
3 x 88%
2 x 80%
4 x 79%
3 x 62 %
1 x 60%

My ytd score for this year (no more visits) is 98%

Next best in company (1000 pubs) is 95.50

harder than that now .. with M+B there was over 180 question yikes

Glad I ain't working behind a bar anymore then! I bet there is quite a lot as a landlord that you have to do your self on pub presentation etc.
