Well that was a surprise -

Chap arranged to view and T.D a VXR8, was impressed - but ended up buying a lovely modded CV8 Monaro - the full Wortec exhaust sound and drive converted him

Totally not HSV/Monaro related, but what better place than the BBQ thread!
Now I've got the small, needed a much better daily driver family wagon than the 14 year old Diesel Seat Leon that was chugging around in. Went and picked up a black facelift Subaru Legacy 3.0 Spec B Saturday and I love it. First auto I've ever owned, but has the flappy paddle over ride as well if the mood takes and it's bloody rapid! Very 'Q' car too biggrin

I've got a manual 2006 spec b (3.0 H6). It's a nice family shed, comfortable sporty and heated seats, nice steering wheel, traction, etc., but the exhaust is silent, likes a drink, and the interior rattles. Bits availability is worse than the monaro and usually more expensive too! Not to pee on your cornflakes and all that...the pains of a relatively rare performance car hehe

Yep, but I love it. Loads of space and really comfortable despite the sports suspension. Yes, the 3.0 is practically silent and a relatively 'brisk' cruise home last night along the motorway was just interrupted by a slight ruffle of wind noise round the mirrors, but barely noticeable. Carries the family around well, know they do big miles pretty well, and interior is still tight on this one. Also keeps the miles low on the Monaro angel
