Have to admit I thought thrust vehicle as well when you said land speed record. Will have a google at that car later if I get a chance as it sounds crazy. Maybe their estimated top speed isn't such a pie in the sky dream I thought. Didn't know people were getting that sort of speed from traditional car methods.

My favourite. Ran 409.28 in 1965. Built by the genius Summers brothers. No supercharger or turbo vulgarity, just four fabulous sounding 426 hemis.

Took 42 years to beat (2008), with the supercharged twin engine Burklands streamliner.

Many congrats, was there myself in May, it's amazing, though the wee fella not been in the Ro yet (something to do with young developing ears according to the missus, and the risk of a Goldie incident......). It is indeed life changing, but for the better, enjoy every moment!
