I recall calling it a plan for suicide at the time! he must have seriously uprated the cars traction as even in the 2.0n/a you could break it fairly easily. If only mel was still around to say how much she screamed!

hey guys smile
Finally got it up and running on the 1st of August!
In regards to traction issues it can get a bit hairy if you're irresponsible with the throttle though I have deliberately stuck the back end out a couple of times in recent days.
It's super fun but there are little niggly issues to sort and a few big changes I want to make over christmas so at the end of September I'll be taking the car off the road again frown
I'm still active on my S2ki thread and make up dates here and there if any of you fancy looking or commenting, comments are always welcome as is input and opinions. smile

Anyone headed to santa pod for fast show next year? I aim to be there and set some times down the strip!

Get a cam in there too..

I suspect your times will be traction limited..

Other than perhaps filter longevity, long thin filters like that really dont flow as much air as they look like they should.

More flow requires larger diameter compared to length.

But it will be more than big enough.

I've been eyeing up the lunati voodoo cams if I'm honest but I'm way off bothering with engine mods yet. Still tinkering with the setup and teething issues.
I have some wide fenders to throw onto the car when I have money for paint saved. I'll be able to go up to around 255 tyres on the rear. I do however own a set of drag wheels so I hopefully won't struggle on the strip too much.

In regards to the filter, it's going. It sits in an area of excess heat from exhaust and radiator and I'm convinced it hampers performance, the car struggles to start when hot which says to me hot thin air. So the new plan is the split the intake pipe at the TB as soon as possible into two 3" pipes and run them forwards and down to the front of the car. I'll have the moisture bag things over the filters so should I get caught out in the rain this'll protect me from road spray and stuff, I'll keep them mounted relatively high just incase I have to go through deep puddles and what not.

With this dual intake I'll hopefully be adding a meth kit to help reduce intake temps.
I also have plans to tidy up the install, make it neater, tuck a couple of bits and a little bit of painting/powdercoating/anodising.

Really excited to crack on with all this and more but I need to save up for the second wave of modification and this unfortunately takes time.
