Gutted I couldn't come to this as on hols, but a quick question - what is this car?? (looks like some sort of Opel Speedster)
Only I've never seen one in the UK before, and then lo and behold, saw one in Cornwall on the road last week on German plates and thought what was that!!!!! (And i know my cars normally). Then come back home, catching up on all the gossip on the forums, checking out the Heritage meet pics, and woah, there it is again.....??

They made something similiar in the US called the Solsist, which was close in looks, maybe this is what you saw in Germany?

Saw it in Cornwall on German plates. Positively sure it had an Open badge on it though, just didn't clock the model name on the back as it went past. They made something similiar in the US called the Solsist, which was close in looks, maybe this is what you saw in Germany?
Just done some googling though and reckon it was an Opel GT - as it was never made into a RHD, we didn't get it over here, but looks like it was the VX220 replacement, and looks very similar to the VX Lightning.

Does seem that way, does look close to the Lightning tho.
Saturn Sky, Pontiac Solstice and Opel GT are all similar cars, shame it never passed regs to be in UK
