Since my partner has had her AMG I have been fighting my urges to go and sell the ute and buy another rs6, I know it brought me nothing but heartache but I miss that ability to trounce almost anything on the road (wasn't standard) whilst being really comfy at the same time and having all the nice extras that you just don't get with a holden.
My ute didn't even make 300bhp at surrey rolling road, although figures are not the be all and end all it's how it makes you feel, I am down on power now and can't keep up with some average cars.
Wish I was in a position to supercharge/turbocharge but am not in a position to spend the cash for at least 2 years.
Although my partner lets me drive hers when I want it's not the same as when it's yours.

I know the sort of responses I will get on here but reading a few posts recently I know I'm not alone on this, it's probably a no go anyway as a green ute is not going to sell straight away lol!

I think I have seen your ute near me......Wokingham way.....looked the part (forgot to put up a spotted).

1 question, how is an RS6 affordable and a SC setup not? Bottom line is its your money so go for what ever blows your skirt up.

Remember that your car is a proper V8 and it turns heads, a silver MB doesn't, keep your Ute and save up for mods

I used to have an SL55AMG. Still would if the rood didn't have the optional swimming pool in cabin mode. Having said that I don't miss it nearly as much as I did without the VXR8. Do miss the supercharger though frown

From what I've read of the RS6 it's a nightmare, although I've never owned one and probably never will.

To be fair I get the AMG thing. I really do like the C63 and that would be my next choice, but the money they are still commanding means it's a no go for me for ages yet, and for less than the cost of the C63 the Monaro I have and love can be modified to at least keep it honest if not trounce it (opinion not fact!).

Ultimately owning a car like this is only logical if you enjoy it and if you don't then it's time to get rid. That's what I've always thought and will stick by.

All my money is in the ute, can afford to get an rs6 for that but it will probably be another dog!

A c5 rs6 is a nightmare to keep, even when you think it's all good something expensive is just round the corner, to be fair the e55 is floating my boat more, but like James said they are a bit forgettable when you see one unless your a car nut, but I only want the car to turn my head sod everyone else lol

Often the sellers have a change of heart. These aren't cars that you buy with your head, and it's sometimes difficult to face parting with them.

Even those that fall out of love with their cars don't often get as far as advertising them.
