Are you on about my wife or the car? If it's the car I don't think so I might get it dirty. So what's the crack why only 393 RWHP where's all the potential for more? a cams only going to give it an extra 30 to 40 hp more max
Needs the Charge Cooler and was on standard internals and also using a "conservative" map, primarily as this was the map used on the 500s which where Vauxhall retail cars so they needed to make sure they didn't overly stress the mechanicals and leave themselves wide-open to warranty claims by being too aggressive. As said by others, if you changed some of the internals and put a more aggressive map on, then the you can realise the potential...
ETA: I also wanted to make sure I didn't over-stretch it.

...also, the 393 is per advertised, if you take the (guestimated) transmission loss, it would compute back to about 500 FWHP... and the VXR500 was actual quoted by VX as a PS figure, not BHPWhat internals are we taking about here. If I do keep it then I will be taking it off the road for the winter and do some work on it the plan was to recon the wheel and callipers, front end respray just to tidy it up then it's on to the engine I was going to add meth/water injection for cooling, a cam kit what cam I'm not sure I was just going to go for a monkfish one but if anyone has any better ideas I would love to here them. I was going to change the charger belt also. Is there anything a should add

What's it like how much of a gain did you get
Dont worry to much about the BHP gains (took mine from 498 to 535 rwhp)It pulls harder and is a lot quicker, and much more fun to drive. Plus it lowers engine temps which would be very good for you

It's not a 500 but look almost identical. I'm not sure of it's output that's not why I bought it it's the sound that got me. What I do know is it's fast enough to get in to trouble. I don't know if I can bring myself to sell it last night it was going but this morning it's all change.
The main reason for selling it can from going out in it for a drive with the wife. As we were driving I past a lay-by and a guy gave me the wr sign that didn't really bother me it was what the wife said afterwards. She said to me she would have done the same as the guy because the car is obnoxious and loud and it would only be a certain person that would drive it. I don't know why but that just really got under my skin
It's an Aussie V8 - They're supposed to be obnoxious and loud.... fk 'em, that's what I say, they're just jealous The main reason for selling it can from going out in it for a drive with the wife. The LS2 is a good strong engine and you can change a lot of internals such as cams/lifters, pistons, crank, flywheel etc to release a lot more power but the more to do to it the more fragile it, and subsequent drive train become...
How many F1 engines have done more the 1000 miles
I never took it any further because a) I couldn't afford it and b) I needed a reliable car c) if it went wrong, I needed to be able to get it fixed under warranty.
