As Gary has started a Vulcan trend by showing a picture of his R8 next to XH558 I thought I would ask whether there is anyone interested in a club gathering next year to visit XM665 that is on display at Wellesbourne Mountford in Warwickshire.
They welcome car clubs and will demonstrate the control surfaces using a ground generator and allow members to visit the cockpit.
This Vulcan runs up and down the runway every year at Wellesbourne Wings and Wheels and is the sister craft to XH558 often used for ground training by XH558s display pilots including Martin Withers of the Black Buck Falkland raids.
If enough of you are interested (probably around 10 to 15 cars) in a club gathering I would be happy to contact them to see if we could organise something for next year.
